This piece was drawn on the 31st of May 2023, and is based on some of my stuffed animals, a Build-a-Bear Wolf named Buddy and a Red Panda that i havent name yet. The idea is that they are Detective partners who are investigating a mystery, when buddy discovers something. Orginally, when i finished this piece it was very dark, but i wasnt sure how to fix it at the time. With feedback and help, i figured out how to lighten some of the overlay layers, and i think this version does look better. I do want to eventually redo this piece, onc i have a better understanding of lighting and shadows, aswell as contrasting colors, but im quite happy with the final version. This piece took me over 5 hours to finish.
The image i used for the background was a stock photo, and i used a grayscale method for coloring.
Buddy is a 2009 Build-a-Bear WWF Grey Wolf that i bought secound hand online, and ive drawn a few things of him. He appears in the Mock Newspaper i created.
