This Art piece was drawn on the 30th of September, 2023. It took 7 hours and was finished in one sitting. I got the idea from looking through some of my old art pieces, and I found one from November 2020, one of my earliest drawings on my current tablet, and was drawn as an experiment on Clip Studio paint. I tried to utilize screen tones in the original, and I wanted to implement this subtly in my new piece, but it’s rather difficult to see due to reduced image size, I also set out to keep the magic aspect with the wispy strands and purple elements . When i was planning out this piece, I wanted this to be one of the best pieces I’ve ever created, and I think I did quite well. Of course, the more I look at it the more I see mistakes, but that’s very common when looking at one’s own work. I was thinking of painting this in greyscale, but I wanted the colors to pop and have more control of the and I’m glad I did because it’s more intresting for the color combinations to come about naturally and see them mix before my eyes. Incredibly enjoyable piece to draw, and I’m very glad with it’s outcome.

Progress images are shown below. I wanted the face to be symmetrical but not copy and pasted. I did this by drawing the sketch symmetrically, but the coloring, shading and rendering asymmetrically. I wanted the lighting to be magical and eye catching, but I wanted to still be able to make out the details.
